Devas
The word ‘deva’ is Sanskrit it means ‘shining one.’ Devas in the fairy realm govern the elementals and nature spirits and the well being of all things present within nature.
Devas tend to occupy the realm between Fairies and Angels, they are a little of each.
Many fairies and devas have the ability to appear in a human like image, but as devas are more closely linked to angels they are more likely to appear as a ball of light or flowing colours colours when seen clairvoyantly.
Devas God decided would be nature spirits, they were tiny and brownish. As the sixth day was ending and God said ‘Creation is finished’, He realised the devas who he was ready to bless were missing, He was not very pleased that they had failed to turn up on time. God then looked with his all-seeing eye and saw the devas were held up because they kept stopping to mend damaged flowers, lift weighty tree that had not taken root, help animals giving birth for the first time and aid birds building their nests. They were planting seeds that had fallen to the wayside which were already growing into glorious fruit trees, vegetables and beautiful flowers. God’s heart was filled with great love for them, He told them they were to be the ‘shining ones’ and able to take on any form they wished.
